The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP Code)
The CAP Code sets out the 'rules' that advertisers are expected to adhere to when presenting marketing communications to consumers.
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice. The CAB has now taken over from Consumer Direct as the main contact point for consumer queries. For specific advice on home shopping, CAB have produced a very useful factsheet.
